Sales Engineer

Alpes Lasers SA is a Swiss company specialized in the development and fabrication of advanced light sources in the infrared (IR) spectral range. Our company was founded 20 years ago and was the first company in the world to commercialize Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs). These lasers are becoming increasingly important in chemical sensing applications based on IR spectroscopy and in directional infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) applications.

Our company is currently working on the development and launching the production of novel product lines, including high power QCLs, optical frequency comb QCLs, tunable lasers, and various laser systems.

Your role:

Within the Customer Relations team, you will actively participate in the conception and characterization of marketing material for Alpes Lasers products. This will include the realization of application notes, brochures, videos, manuals and management of a web and social media presence. This will also include dealing directly with clients. In addition you will support the administrative processes of following quotations, after sales and forecasting.

Your activities in details:

• Design brochures, application notes and other content;
• Manage online presence for the company;
• Develop and implement new marketing tools;
• Administrative support

Your profile:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electronics, Materials or Microtechnology; 
• Technical Background in Optics and/or Optoelectronics;
• Experience and interest in sales and/or marketing;
• Experience in spectroscopy, gas sensing, energy deposition or an adjacent field;
• English level B2
