PHOTONMED: PHOTONMED (Horizon Europe Grant Agreement No. 101136037) focuses on developing advanced photonic technologies for next-generation biomedical diagnostics and environmental monitoring. The project integrates quantum cascade lasers, photonic integrated circuits, and AI-enhanced spectroscopy into portable, high-performance sensing platforms. Alpes Lasers contributes by developing mid-infrared laser sources tailored to the specific needs of two pilot cases. These sources enable non-invasive detection of chemical and biological markers. The work supports the deployment of compact, cost-effective, and clinically relevant photonic systems in real-world scenarios.
