ENVIROMED (Horizon Europe Grant Agreement No. 101057844) is developing a next-generation toolbox to reduce the environmental footprint of pharmaceuticals throughout their entire lifecycle. By integrating innovative QCL-based sensing, namely application-tailored novel tunable-QCL sources and spectroscopic analyzers, ENVIROMED enables real-time, inline monitoring and detection of pharmaceutical residues in wastewater, liquid streams, and surfaces with high sensitivity—facilitating greener, more efficient drug production and environmental surveillance
